This week marks a sort of sad anniversary, I’ve been flying solo with Home Ec 101 since late of August of last year, but in contrast, next week also marks a very important milestone. Ivy left the site due to the fallout of becoming an addict and alcoholic. We live in different parts of the country and I couldn’t see the spiral until things were pretty bad. With a full year to let everything settle out, it’s a little easier to talk about. September 3rd marks a full year of sobriety. Ivy has returned to writing and has started a blog Mama in Recovery. Go, wish her well.

I'm guilty of making pot roasts in summer, just so I don't have to do much cooking. I would set the crockpot outside, but I have very curious animals. 🙂 BTW, you have done an awesome job at keeping up with this place with everything that's been on your plate. You are Super Heather!
