I have to admit I'm not familiar with lifehacker.com, but I'm proud of you anyway! I love the red you've incorporated into the site design. Retro flair FTW.
Looks great, though it's a bit too wide for even my widescreen Macbook. I'd have to scroll over about an inch to see the whole thing.
What browser and resolution are you using? The widest portion of the site should be 962 which is only 2 px over the standard 960.
I'm running Firefox. Not sure about how to check my screen resolution (I need some of your geekiness!).
Try pressing Command – once or twice. I think you accidentally zoomed in at one point to make the text appear larger. (Command +)
On a PC it would be ctrl + or – in Firefox or Chrome
Alternately you can press Command and use your mouse's scroll button to make a site appear larger or smaller.
Heather your site looks great! Congrats on your One sheet pan meal making it to Japan! WOW! You like my hat covering my crazy hair do this morning, huh?! LOL

The site looks great! About the hair (confession) I haven't washed it in a week, thanks to no time off from my boys. I will definately cage them up tonight so I can get it washed. 😀
